Road to GeekGirlCon: Women Who Create
#R2GGC – [Production]

Women led production company creates a documentary with a cast and crew of all women exploring dork, nerd, and geek content creators on the west coast.

This documentary film will take viewers on an adventure to explore dork, nerd and geek (DNG) lady content creators on the west coast as the crew travels up to Seattle to GeekGirlCon. Road to GeekGirlCon: Women Who Create explores prolific lady content creators from illustrators, to developers, to musicians, podcasters, critics and everything in between.

#R2GGC is created by a full lady crew of videographers, musicians, academics and creators, led by Dannie Phan, Co-Founder of Donegee Media, a multimedia mercenary with a background in critical race theory.  Being a mixed media content creator herself, she was excited to be attending GeekGirlCon that celebrates lady DNGs.  Traveling up the west coast with her crew, they interviewed lady content creators and explore these ladies’s struggles and triumphs.  Why does she create? Why do these ladies create despite of the struggle and hardships of being an independent in today’s economy?  R2GGC explores the unique struggles of  lady content creators right now and allows their own unique voices and opinions to come across the documentary, highlighting that the lady DNG content creators are not a monolithic group, but come from varying backgrounds, disciplines and beliefs.
